Joel and Ethan Directed a Portion of the upcoming Paris, je t'aime

The little information I have is straight from IMDB. It appears that there are 20 different segments. Joel and Ethan are listed as having directed the first. Gus Van Sant, Jean-Luc Goddard, and Alexander Payne are some of ther other notable American filmmakers involved. Not surpisingly Steve Buscemi is in the Coen directed arrondissement. If you have any other information please share it in the forum.

Award-winning filmmakers JOEL COEN and ETHAN COEN (O Brother, Where Art Thou?; The Big Lebowski; Fargo) and recent Oscar winner CHARLIE KAUFMAN (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; Being John Malkovich; Adaptation) bring the quirky drama and savage wit of their movies to the stage in a live reading of two original sound plays set to music by their long time collaborator, composer
CARTER BURWELL. The Coens' Sawbones and Kaufman's Hope Leaves the Theater come to life before your ears, with eight great actors, scripts in hand, joined on stage by a sound-effects artist and a live band to create multiple characters and parallel realities located somewhere between melodrama and comedy. No film, no sets, no costumes. Should be an evening like none you've ever seen — or heard — before.

The music for this work was developed in the Resident Artist Program 2004/05 of Mabou Mines/Suite.

Theater of the New Ear was made possible in part by generous support from SIRIUS Satellite Radio.
