Word is "Hail, Caesar" is going to start shooting soon. This makes
it official. Hopefully it can be ready for the end of the year. Following the
story of a 1920's theater troupe putting on, or trying at least, a production
of Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar". George Clooney is the one source
we have on this picture, so we can assume he's in the cast. That's all the info
we have at this time.
I've put a new page in the movies section dedicated to film number twelve. If
you want to see previous posts about the film please go there.

Just a quick glance at Joel Coen in IMDB.com shows that Hail Caesar is in pre-production for release in 2006. No Country For Old Men is "announced" for 2007. This is a pretty good indicator that they're planning, at least for now, to do both films. Excellent.

George Clooney has stated that he's going to star in the next Coen Film "Hail, Caeser". According to Clooney "The star would have an idiot toga and a pencil mustache" and will complete the "trilogy of cowardly idiots" he's made with Joel and Ethan. The story will follow a troupe of theater actors in the 1920's putting on a play about ancient Rome. Some reports state this is already in pre-production, but they can't begin shooting until after Clooney completes "The Good German" with Steven Soderberg.
